Before starting classes this week, I attended a friend's wedding near St. Louis. It was good to see my friend Marilyn again, and to finally meet her now husband, Steve. When I arrived there on Saturday night, I was glad to see so many old friends from PQQ (Puraquequara, the boarding school in Brazil). Some of them I had not seen since I graduated four years ago. That night we went to a place called City Museum, but it was no ordinary museum. It was a very interactive place, kind of like a giant 10 story playhouse, complete with many tunnels and tight spaces to crawl through, and a 10 story slide. Over the next couple of days more and more old friends showed up, so we had a good time hanging out and laughing together. We even did some dancing, which put most of us missionary kids out of our comfort zone, but turned out to be fun anyway. On Monday, there was a short and sweet outdoor wedding with a reception following it. After seeing them off and saying goodbye to everyone, I headed back home to prepare for classes the next day.
Thank you all for your part in my life.
